Dog Obedience
It’s hard to deal with misbehaved dogs. They bark, they growl, they don’t eat their
food and they jump on everyone. Dog Obedience is very important; this has to start when the dogs are puppies.
What can you do to keep those dogs from barking in the middle of the night?

When Does Dog Obedience Begin?
Every dog is different. I have two female dogs – part pit bull and part Labrador.
Sometimes, they act just like pit bulls.
Dog Obedience begins when the dogs want to be a part of the house and
family. They want to be noticed every day, and these dogs love their treats. Pit Bull dogs
love being inside the house. They enjoy the familiar smells and scents.
What Happens When They Love Their Home?
If dogs like where they live, then dog obedience is easier. The dogs won’t destroy the
place. Furniture and bedding are safe. The bed and sofa in the living room are their favorite places. They
each take turns watching their master.
Dogs love their treats. When I leave for work, they get a bowl of treats. After the
noon walk, they get another treat. Treats show that you love them. Dog Obedience works when the dogs get a
little more attention.

What Are Things That Don’t Require Training?
There are some things that don’t require training for your dog.
Just mention car ride, and the dogs are dressed and ready to go. Mentions a walk, those dogs are running to
the door.
With dog obedience, there are specific commands that get my dogs running including
dinner and peanut butter. They love peanut butter, and my dogs can smell it a mile away. Dinner is their
breakfast, right after their morning walk.
When it’s time to make the bed, the dogs don’t respond to a simple
“move.” It’s out and I point to the door, and after a while they are prancing out
the door. Even dogs like a nice made bed.
What About Barking?
When it comes to barking, dogs can be very loud. In the house, barking is not a
nuisance to the neighbors. They can not hear the barking.
Mostly, the dogs bark at the neighbor’s dogs that bark all day. They also bark at
visitors and people that come into the yard. Dogs need to be praised for doing a good job. If you punish a
dog for barking, then the dogs won’t bark when you need them to.
How Do I Train My Dog?
Dogs want to learn. The dogs want to please their master, be dog obedience, and the
dogs want to be a part of the family.
For Dog Obedience, try to:
1)
Reward or praise your dog – smile and pet your dog, animals love affection. You can
give your dog a treat, too.
2)
Do What Your Dog Can Do – some dogs don’t do certain tricks like giving a paw or
rolling over. Accept your dog for what he or she is, they are still good animals.
3)
Don’t punish. Unlike humans, dogs may not know why they are being punished, especially
if you just discovered yesterday’s poop.
4)
Penalize, do something that they don’t like. Dogs don’t like jerks on the collar, no
treats and no affection. Do this right away and forget it. Enjoy your dog the rest of the
day.
Establish the Hierarchy.
For dog obedience, you need to establish the hierarchy. You are the
boss. You give the command and you feed the dog. Your dog’s life revolves around
you.
Training At Home
When you train your dog at home, you train them in an environment that is familiar to
the dog. The dogs are more comfortable and receptive in their own back yard. Home is where to start your dog
obedience.
Dog Obedience can turn your dog into a great household pet. Dogs want to be good, and
they want to be loving animals. Just enjoy your dog.
