How Can I Prepare?

For free dog training, you can check out books at bookstores and on the internet.  You can also find some interesting articles on training. Finally, check out dog training forums on the internet. The forums have articles and issues on dog training.

You can do free dog training for your dog. It’s not easy. You will need a lot of patience and consistency, which are the main keys to dog training. You want to make this fun for the dog.

How Do I Begin?

Before you start your free dog training, have the dogs run around and exercise. The dogs may be hungry and tired, but they will be ready for their training.

Try to keep your training short and interesting. Dogs lose interest very fast. The longer the session, the harder it is to train. Keep the dogs interested with treats and goodies.

Don’t train, when you are in a bad or irritated mood. If it’s been a tough day for you, then you don’t want to take it out on your dog. So, just hold off the training session for the day.

How Do We Reward and Punish Them?

Dogs love to be praised for a job well done. Dogs are always hungry for tasty treats. They will love this reward.

On the other hand, don’t punish the dog. Hitting the dog only makes them go farther away from you. Instead, try having the dog do the trick again.

For free dog training, you need to make sure that the dog understands you. It’s sometimes hard to communicate with them, especially if cats and squirrels are in the area.  Make sure that the dog gives you their full attention.

What Is Dog Leash Training?

Another type of free dog training is dog leash training.  If you walk your dog everyday, this type of training is important to you and your dog. You can train your dogs the proper way for a dog walk and for the master, to keep the situation under control.

There are a number of simple commands that you can use to train your dog.  They include: sit, stay, no, heel, out, good dog, bad dog, come here and stop.  Other commands are available for your use.

You can use a leash, when you train your dog. This will give you better control of the dog and the situation.  The dog will respond better to your commands.

What about Hand Signals?

You can use a combination of signals or sounds for free dog training. Sound is what is often used.  Hand signals must be in full view of the dog, and the dog must understand the signal.

Do I Need To Train Them At Home?

At home, you may not need to train your dogs, since they take care of their needs. For example: if I get dressed, the dogs know that it’s time for their walk. Mention car ride and they are ready to go.

When the dogs are on the bed, they won’t move, even if you ask them to. But “out” gets the dogs off of the bed and out of the bed room. Now, I can make the bed.

In the evening, when I am watching the television, the dogs want their treats. They make sure that they get noticed. Believe me; I give the dogs their treats.

Make the Training Fun!

Training needs to be fun for both you and your dog. Do a little at a time. Before long, your dog will respond to all of your commands.

You can do Free Dog Training for your pet. It’s not hard to do. You need to be patient and consistent. Over time, you will see the rewards.
